Trigger Warning: Although I am not an expert at anything eating disorder related (other than my experience) I would like to warn people that this blog may contain information that others battling an eating disorder may find triggering. While I attempt to reduce this, I honestly may overlook something or not see that something can be triggering to others because I am still working on asking for help and toward finding recovery.
*** I do not in any way endorse, encourage, or support the use of eating disorder behaviors, running while battling any kind of eating disorder or engaging in dangerous behaviors that can lead to an eating disorder*** If you do think you have an eating disorder, please seek help. Please. I know it is hard (I haven’t had the courage to ask yet) but I know there has to be a better life than what we are currently going through.
The 5 Ws. I think I remember my second grade teacher saying something about these being the most important 5 questions to answer when writing an essay, so I guess I’ll start here.
Side note: I wish life was still as simple as second grade made it seem.
Who: Who am I? Well, I am a twenty-something year old runner in Florida (or as I know it- the Sauna State). I especially enjoy long distance running with half marathons and full marathons being my absolute favorite races. Right now, I’m not sure I want to divulge more than that about me.. I’ll explain why shortly.
What: What is the blog about? Like most blogs, my life. The ups. The downs. The rock bottoms. But, I would like to focus on my adventures running and my journey to seek help and, hopefully, recover from the eating disorder/disordered eating I am currently battling.
*** I do not in any way endorse, encourage, or support the use of eating disorder behaviors, running while battling any kind of eating disorder or engaging in dangerous behaviors that can lead to an eating disorder***
Why: Why am I doing this? This blog will hopefully serve as a journal for myself, a outlet for my mind, and hopefully, one day, an inspiration to someone suffering like I am currently.
Where: As I said, I live in the Sauna State but I would like to run a half marathon or longer in each of the 50 states so hopefully I’ll be able to document some traveling in this blog too!
When: There’s no time like the present… right?
